He did come, the promised Savior; born to set His people free!
From our sins and fears released us, now we've found our rest in Thee!
Israel's strength and consolation, Lord of all the earth Thou art!
Dear desire of ev'ry nation, joy of ev'ry longing heart!
Born His people to deliver, born a Child and yet a King;
Born to reign through us forever, we His present Kingdom sing!
By His own eternal Spirit, ruling through His pow'r alone.
By His all-sufficient merit, raised us to glorious throne!
