He Did Come, the Promised Savior

He did come, the promised Savior; born to set His people free!
From our sins and fears released us, now we've found our rest in Thee!
Israel's strength and consolation, Lord of all the earth Thou art!
Dear desire of ev'ry nation, joy of ev'ry longing heart!

Born His people to deliver, born a Child and yet a King;
Born to reign through us forever, we His present Kingdom sing!
By His own eternal Spirit, ruling through His pow'r alone.
By His all-sufficient merit, raised us to glorious throne!

Joy to the World

Joy to the world! The Lord is come!
Let earth receive her King!
Let every heart,
Prepare Him room!
And heav'n and God's earth sing,
And heav'n and God's earth sing,
And heav'n, and heav'n and God's earth sing!

Joy to the world, the Savior reigns!
Let Saints their songs employ!
While fields and floods
Rocks, hills and plains,
Repeat the sounding joy,
Repeat the sounding joy,
Repeat, Repeat, the sounding joy!

He rules the world with truth and grace,
And makes the nations prove,
The glories of His righteousness,
And wonders of His love;
And wonders of His love;
And wonders, wonders of His love.

No more must sin and sorrow grow,
Nor thorns infest the ground;
He came to make His blessings flow
Far as the curse was found,
Far as the curse was found,
Far as, far as the curse was found.

Rejoice! Rejoice in the Most High,
While Israel spreads abroad:
Like stars that glitter in the sky,
And all men ever bow the knee,
And ever worship God,
And ever, and ever worship God.

Blessed Assurance

Blessed Assurance, Jesus is mine;
Oh what a state of glory sublime
Inherited salvation, and purchased of God,
I'm born of His Spirit and washed in His blood.

refrain

This is my story, this is my song,
Praising my Savior all the day long!
This my story, this is my song,
Praising my Savior all the day long!

Perfect remission, perfect delight,
I've been forgiven, now Christ is my Light!
He has descended, brought from above,
Our Father's mercy, His perfect love!

( refrain )

Perfect redemption, all is at rest,
I in my Savior am happy and blessed!
Working and serving, our Strength above!
Filled with His goodness, sharing His love!

( refrain )

Morning has Broken

Morning has broken, like the first morning,
Blue-bird has spoken, like the first bird.
Praise for the singing! Praise for the morning!
Praise for them springing, fresh from the Word!

Sweet the rain's new fall, sun-lit from heaven,
Like the first dew-fall, on the first grass,
Praise for the sweetness, of the new Garden,
Sprung in completeness, where His feet pass.

Jesus has spoken, like the first morning,
New life has woken, brought by the Word;
Praise for communion, praise for the Cov'nant,
Praise we do offer, our precious Lord!

Ours is the sunlight, ours is the morning.
Born of the True Light, Eden saw play,
Praise, adoration, praise ev'ry morning,
For God's new creation, and the new day!

Praise the Lord, ye Heavens Adore Him

Praise the Lord, ye heav'ns adore Him; praise Him angels in the height;
Sun and moon rejoice before Him; praise Him all ye stars of light.
Praise the Lord, for He hath spoken; worlds His mighty voice obeyed;
Laws which never shall be broken, He hath for their guidance made!

Praise the Lord, for He is glorious; never shall His promise fail!
God hath made His saints victorious, sin and death did not prevail!
Praise the God of our salvation; hosts on high His pow'r proclaim;
Heav'n and earth, and all creation, laud and magnify His name!

Worship, honor, glory, blessing, Lord, we offer unto Thee;
Young and old, Thy praise expressing; in glad homage, bend the knee.
All the saints in heav'n adore The; we now bow before Thy throne;
As thine angels  serve before Thee, so Thy will on earth is done!

Praise to the Lord, the Almighty

Praise to the Lord, the almighty, the King of Creation!
His people praise Him, for His their health and salvation!
All ye who hear, now to His temple draw near,
Join us in glad adoration!

Praise to the Lord, who o'er all things so wondrously reigneth,
Shelters us under His wings, yea so gently sustaineth?
Hast thou not seen, how our desires have been,
Granted in what He ordaineth?

Praise to the Lord, who doth prosper our work and defends us,
Surely His goodness and mercy here daily attend us.
Ponder anew, what the Almighty hath done,
For with His love He redeemed us!

Praise to the Lord, who, when tempests their warfare are waging,
Who, when the elements madly around us are raging,
Biddeth them cease, turning their fury to peace,
Whirlwinds and waters assuaging.

Praise to the Lord, oh let all those who dwell here adore Him!
All that hath life and breath, come now with praises before Him.
Let the Amen, sound from His people again,
Gladly for aye we adore Him!

May the Mind of Christ, Our Savior

May the mind of Christ, our Savior, live in us from day to day;
By His love and grace controlling, all we do and say.

May the Word of God dwell richly, in our hearts from hour to hour;
So that all may see we triumph, only through His power.

May the peace of God our Father, rule our lives in everything;
That we may be quick to comfort, sick and sorrowing.

May the love of Jesus fill us, as the waters fill the sea;
Him exalting, self abasing, this is victory!

May we run the race before us, strong and brave to face our foes;
Looking only unto Jesus, as we onward go.

May His beauty rest upon us, as we strive our Light to Shine;
And may they forget the channel, seeing only Him.

Here, O Our Lord, We See Thee Face to Face

Here, O our Lord, we see Thee face to face, here do we touch and handle things unseen;
Here see with clearer eye eternal grace, and all our weariness upon Thee lean.

Here do we feed upon the Bread of God, here drink with Thee the royal wine of heav'n;
Here do we lay aside each earthly load, here taste afresh the calm of sin forgiv'n.

We have no help but Thine, nor do we need, another arm save Thine to lean upon;
It is enough, Our Lord, enough indeed, Our strength is in Thy might, Thy might alone.

Ours was the sin, but Thine the righteousness, ours was the guilt, but Thine the cleansing Blood;
Here is our Robe, our Refuge, and our Peace, Thy Blood, Thy Righteousness, O Lord Our God!

We Gather Together

We gather together, to ask the Lord's blessing,
He chasten and hastens, His will to make known.
The wicked oppressing, now cease from distressing,
Sing praises to His name, He forsakes not His own!

Beside us, to guide us, our God with us joining,
Ordaining, maintaining, His Kingdom divine;
So from the beginning, the fight we were winning;
Thou, Lord, wast at our side, all glory be thine!

We all do extol Thee, Thou Leader Triumphant,
We know that Thou always our Fortress will be,
For Thy congregation, endures all tribulation
Thy Name be ever praised; Thou hast made us free!

We Love Thy Kingdom, Lord

We love Thy Kingdom, Lord, the House of Thine Abode,
The Church our blest Redeemer saved, with His own precious Blood!

We love Thy Church, O God, Her walls be-fore Thee stand,
Dear as the Apple of Thine eye, and graven on Thy hand.

For Her our tears shall fall, for Her our prayers ascend,
To Her our toils and cares be giv'n, till toils and care shall end!

Beyond our highest joys, we prize Her heav'nly ways,
Her sweet communion, solemn vows, Her hymns of love and praise!

Sure as Thy truth does stand, to Zion has been giv'n,
The brightest glories earth can yield, and brighter glories of heav'n!

O Word of God Incarnate

O Word of God Incarnate, O Wisdom from on High,
O Truth unchanged, unchanging, O light of our deep sky;
We praise Thee for the ra-diance, that from Thy hallowed Sage,
A lantern to our foot-steps, shines on from age to age!

The Church, from her dear Master, received the Gift divine,
And still that Light she lifteth, o'er all the world to shine.
He is the golden chalice, where all our gems are stored,
He is the risen Master, He's Christ, the living Word!

He floweth like a banner, that's by God's host unfurled;
He shineth like a beacon, before a blinded world,
He is the chart and compass, that o'er life's surging sea,
'Mid mist and rocks and quicksands, still guides, O God, to Thee!

Thou'st made Thy Church, dear Savior, a lamp of purest Gold;
To bear before the nations,Thy true Light as of old,
O teach Thy wandering pilgrims, by Thee their path to trace,
Till clouds and darkness ended, they see Thee face to face!

Oh, Thou Almighty King

Oh Thou Almighty King, help us Thy name to sing;
Help us to praise, Father all glorious, o'er all victorious,
Thou dost reign over all, Ancient of days!

Oh Thou Incarnate Word, Thou art for-ever our Lord,
Our prayer attend, Thou hast Thy people blessed,
And giv'n Thy Word success, Spirit of Holiness, in us be dressed!

Oh Holy Com-forter, Thy sacred wi-tness bear;
In this glad hour: Thou who almighty art, dost rule in every heart,
Thou'll ne'er from us depart, Spi-rit of Power!

To Thee, Great One in Three, E-ternal prai-ses be!
Hence evermore; Thy Sovereign Majesty,
May we in glory see, and for eternity, love and adore!

Jesus Does Reign

Jesus does reign, where-e'er the sun, does his successive journeys run;
His Kingdom spread from shore to shore, till moons shall wax and wan no more!

To Him shall endless pray'r be made, and endless praises crown His head;
His name, like sweet perfume shall rise, with our daily sacrifice!

People and realms of every tongue, dwell on His love with sweetest song,
And infant voices do proclaim, their early blessings on His name!

Let every creature rise and bring, His grateful honor to our King;
Angels descend with songs again, and earth repeat the loud 'Amen'!

Jesus lives, and So Do We

Jesus lives, and so do we; death, thy sting is gone forever!
He for us did deign to die, lives the bands of death, He's severed!
He has raised us from the dust, Jesus is our strength and trust!

Jesus lives and reigns supreme, and His Kingdom still remaining;
We shall ever be with Him, ever living, ever reigning!
God has promised, be it must, Jesus is our strength and trust!

Jesus lives, and by His grace, vic'try o'er our passions giving,
So have changed our hearts and ways, ever to His glory living!
He has raised us from the dust, Jesus is our strength and trust!

Jesus lives, we know full well, Naught from Him our hearts can sever;
Life nor death nor pow'rs of hell,joy nor grief, henceforth forever
None of all His saints is lost, Jesus is our strength and trust!

Jesus lives, and death is naught, for we've entered into glory;
Courage then my brothers, thou, hast a crown of life forever!
They did find their hope was just; Jesus is our strength and trust!

Rise up, O Church of God

Rise up, O Church of God! Have done with lesser things;
Give heart and mind and soul and strength to serve the King of kings!

Rise up, O Church of God! His Kingdom did appear;
Brought in the day of brotherhood, and banned the night of fear!

Rise up, O Sons of God! The Church or you doth wait;
Her strength is equal to Her task, rise up and make Her great!

Lift high the cross of Christ! Tread where His feet have trod;
As follwers of the Son of Man, rise up, O Church of God!

over the world victorious; Power and glory, unto the Lord belong!

The Kingdom of God

John saw the heav'ns and earth made new, the first had passed away,
The Holy City coming down, the New Jerusalem!

And God Himself now dwells with men, and wipes away all tears,
There is no sorrow, pain or death, throughout the coming years!

'Behold, I make all things a-new', these faithful words are true,
With Him who overcame, we on earth with God do rule!

In beau-ti-ful Je-ru-sa-lem, God's glo-ry gives us light,
All kings and nations walk with us, for there is no more night'!

Fairest Lord Jesus

Fairest Lord Jesus, Ruler of all nature,
O Thou of God and man the Son; Thee will we cherish,
Thee will we honor, Thou art our glory, joy, and crown!

Fair are the meadows, fairer still the woodlands;
In all the blooming garb of Spring; Jesus is fairer,
Jesus is purer, who makes the woeful heart to sing!

Fair is the Sunshine, fairer still the moonlight,
And all the twink'ling starry host; Jesus shines brighter,
Jesus shines purer, than all the angels heaven can boast!

Beautiful Saviour! Lord of the nations! Son of God and Son of Man;
Glory an honor, praise, adoration, now and forevermore be Thine!

May Jesus Christ Be Praised

When morning gilds the sky, our hearts awaking cry, May Jesus Christ be praised!
Alike at work and prayer, to Jesus we repair, May Jesus Christ be praised!

Does sadness fill our mind? A solace here we find, May Jesus Christ be praised!
Or fades our earthly bliss, our comfort still is this, May Jesus Christ be praised!

The night's become as day, when from the heart we say, May Jesus Christ be praised!
The pow'rs of darkness fear, when this sweet chant they hear, May Jesus Christ be praised!

Sing suns and stars of space, sing we now see His face, May Jesus Christ be praised!
God's whole creation o'er, sing for aye and evermore, May Jesus Christ be praised!

Be this, since Life is ours, our canticle, like flow'rs, May Jesus Christ be praised!
Be this the'eternal song, through all the ages long, May Jesus Christ be praised!

O For a Thousand Tongues to Sing

O, for a thousand tomngues to sing, our great Redeemers praise,
The glories of our God and King, the triumphs of His grace!

Jesus! The name that charms our fears, that bids our sorrows cease,
'Tis music in the sinners ear, 'tis life, and health, and peace!

He broke the pow'r of canceled sin, He set the priso-ner free;
His blood has made the foulest clean, His blood availed for me!

Hear Him ye deaf, praise Him ye dumb, your loosened tongues employ;
Ye blind, behold; your Savior's come, and leap ye lame for joy!

Our gracious Master, and our God, assist us to proclaim;
To spread through all the earth abroad, the honors of Thy name!

We Sing the Mighty Power of God

We sing the mighty power of God, that made the mountains rise;
That spread the flowing seas abroad, and built the lofty skies.
We sing the wisdom that ordained, the sun to rule the day;
The moon shines full at His command, and all the stars obey!

We sing the goodness of our Lord, that filled the earth with food;
He formed the creatures by His Word, and then pronounced them good!
Lord, how Thy wonders are displayed, wher'er we turn our eyes;
If we survey the ground we tread, or gaze upon the skies!

There's not a plant or flow'r below, but makes Thy glories known;
And clouds arise, and tempests blow, by order from Thy throne!
While aall that  borrows Life from Thee, is ever in Thy care'
And everywhere that man can be, Thou, God, art present there!

The Lord's Our Shepherd; We'll Not Want

The Lord's our Shepherd; we'll not want:
He makes us down to lie, in pastures green; He leadeth us, the quiet waters by.

Our life He hath restored again,
And us to walk doth make, within the paths, of righteousness, e'en for His own name's sake.

Yea, though we walk through death's dark vale,
Yet will we fear no ill, for Thou art with us, and Thy rod and staff; they comfort still!

Our table Thou hast furnish-ed, in presence of our foes;
Our heads with oil Thou didst anoint, and our cup overflows!

Goodness and mercy, all our Life, shall surely o-urs be.
And in God's house forevermore, our dwelling-place shall be!

Great is Thy Faithfulness

Great is Thy faithfulness, O God our Father,
There is no shadow of turning with Thee;
Thou  changest not, Thy compassions, they fail not;
As Thou hast been, Thou forever wilt be.

chorus

Great is Thy Faith-fulness, great is Thy faithfulness, Lord unto us!

Summer and winter, and spring-time and harvest,
Sun, moon and stars, in their courses above.
Join with all nature in manifold witness,
To Thy great faithfulness, mercy and love!

chorus

Pardon for sin, and a peace that endureth,
Thine own dear Presence to cheer and to guide
Strength for today, and bright Truth for tomorrow,
Blessings are ours, and ten thousand beside!

chorus

A Mighty Fortress is Our God

A mighty fortress is our God, a bulwark never failing,
Our Helper He, amid the flood of mortal ills prevailing.
And though our ancient foe did seek to work us woe-
His craft and power were great; on earth was not his equal!

Did we in our own strength confide-our striving would be losing;
Were not the right Man on our side, the Man of God's own choosing!
Dost ask Who that may be, Christ Jesus-it is He, Lord Sabaoth His name,
From age to age the same, and He has won the battle!

And though this world, with evils filled, should threaten to undo us,
We will not fear, for God hath willed His Truth to triumph through us!
Though things oft-en look grim, we stumble not in them, tri-als we will endure,
Our victory is sure; one little Word shall quell them!

That Word, above all earthly powers, who in our God abideth,
The Spirit and the gifts are ours, through Him Who with us sideth,
Let goods and kindred go, this mortal life also; the body they may kill,
God's Word abideth still, His Kingdom is forever!

Sing Praise To God Who Reigns Above

Sing praise to God Who reigns above, the God of all creation,
The God of power, the God of love, the God of our salvation.
With healing balm our hearts He fills, and every faithless murmur stills;
To God all praise and glory!

What God's al-mighty pow'r hath made, His gracious mercy keepeth,
By morning glow or ev'ning shade, His watchful eye ne'er sleepeth,
Within the kingdom of His might, lo, all is just, and all is right;
To God all praise and glory!

The Lord is ever here to stay, and through all grief distrressing,
An ever present Help alway, our peace and joy and blessing.
As with a Shepherd's tender hand, He leads His own, His chosen band;
To God all praise and glory!

Thus all our toilsome way along, we sing aloud His praises,
That men may hear the song, our voices un-wearied raise Him;
Be joyful in the Lord, our hearts, both soul and body bear their parts;
To God all praise and glory!

Be Thou Our Vision

Be Thou our vision, O Lord of our hearts,
Naught be all else to us, save that Thou art;
Thou our best thought, by day or by night,
Waking or sleeping, Thy Presence our light!

Be Thou our wisdom, and Thou our True Word,
We ever with Thee, and Thou with us Lord;
Thou our Great Father, we Thy true sons,
Thou in us dwelling, and we with Thee one!

Riches we heed not, nor man's empty praise,
Thou our inheritance, now and always,
Thou and Thou only, first in our hearts;
High King of Heaven, our treasure Thou art!

High King of Heaven, our victory won,
We've reach-ed Heaven's joys, in bright Heav'n's Sun;
Heart of our own hearts, whatever befall,
Still be our Vision, O Ruler of all!

Praise With Us The King Of Heaven

Praise with us, the King of Heaven;
To His feet your tribute bring.
Ransomed, healed, restored, forgiven,
Evermore His praises sing:
Alleluia! Alleluia!
Praise the everlasting King.

Praise Him for His grace and favor
To our fathers in distress.
Praise Him still the same as ever,
Slow to chide, and swift to bless.
Alleluia! Alleluia!
Glorious in His faithfulness.

Fatherlike He tends and spares us;
Well our feeble frame He knows.
In His hands He gently bears us,
Rescues us from all our foes.
Alleluia! Alleluia!
Widely yet His mercy flows.

Frail as summer’s flower we flourish,
Blows the wind and it is gone;
But while mortals rise and perish
Our God lives unchanging on,
Praise Him, Praise Him, Hallelujah
Praise the High Eternal One!

Angels, angels, we adore Him;
We behold Him face to face;
Sun and moon, bow down before Him,
Dwellers all in time and space.
Alleluia! Alleluia!
Praise with us the God of grace.

Come The Fount of Every Blessing

Come the Fount of every blessing, tune our hearts to sing your grace,
Streams of mercy, never ceasing, call for songs of loudest praise.
Teach us some melodious sonnet, sung with flaming tongues above,
Praise His Name, we're fixed upon Him, Son of His redeeming love!

Forevermore Your love has blessed us, You have brought us to this Place,
And we know Your hand has brought us, safely home by Your good grace.
Jesus sought us, we were strangers, wandering from the fold of God,
He to rescue us from danger, bought us with His precious blood!

O to grace how great as debtors, daily we're constrained to be,
But Your goodness, like a fetter, bound our wand'ring hearts to Thee,
No more wand'rers, Lord we love You, now we serve the God we love,
For our hearts, You took and sealed them, sealed them in Your courts of love!

Joyful, Joyful, We Adore Thee

Joyful, joyful, we adore Thee, God of glory, Lord of love;
Hearts unfold like flow'rs before You, hail You as the Son of love.
Melt the clouds of sin and sadness, drive the dark of doubt away;
Giver of eternal Joy, You've filled us with the light of Day!

All Your works with joy surround You, earth and heav'n reflect Your rays,
Stars, like angels sing around You, center of unbroken praise;
Field and forest, vale and mountain, bloss'ming meadow, flashing sea;
Chanting bird and flowing fountain, call us to rejoice in Thee.

Thou art giving and forgiving, ever blessing, ever blest,
Well-spring of the joy of living, ocean-depth of glori'us rest!
Thou our Father, Christ our Brother- all who live in Love are Thine:
Teach us more to love each other, lift us with Thy joy divine.

Now ' we've joined the mighty chorus which the morning stars began;
Father-love is reining o'er us, brother-love binds man to man.
Ever singing, march we onward, victors in the midst of strife;
Joyful music lifts us Son-ward, in the triumph song of Life!

Rejoice, the Lord is King

Rejoice, the Lord is King, your Lord and King adore!
Rejoice, give thanks and sing, and triumph evermore;

Lift up your heart, lift up your voice;
Rejoice, again I say, rejoice!

The Lord, our Savior reigns, the God of Truth and Love;
When He had purged our stains, He took His seat above!

refrain

His Kingdom cannot Fall, He rules o'er earth and heaven;
The keys of death and hell, are to our Jesus given!

refrain

Rejoice in Glorious Truth, our Lord the Judge did come;
And took His servants up to their eternal home!

How Great Thou Art

O Lord our God, when we in awesome wonder, consider all the worlds Thy hands have made,
We see the stars, we hear the rolling thunder, Thy power throughout the universe displayed.

Refrain

Then we shall sing, our Savior God, to Thee; How great Thou art, How great thou art!
Then we shall sing, our Savior God, to Thee; How great Thou art, How great Thou art!

When through the woods and forest glades we wonder, and hear the birds sing sweetly in the trees,
When we look down from lofty mountain grandeur, and hear the brook and feel the gentle breeze.

Then we shall sing, our Savior God, to Thee; how great Thou art, how great Thou art!
Then we shall sing, our Savior God, to Thee; how great Thou art, how great Thou art!

And when we think, that God, His Son not sparing, sent Him to die; we scarce can take it in,
That on the cross, our burden gladly bearing; He bled and died, to take away our sin!

Then we shall sing, our Savior God to Thee; how great Thou art, how great Thou art!
Then we shall sing, our Savior God to Thee; how great Thou art, how great Thou art!

Since Christ did come, with shout of acclamation, now we are home; what joy has filled our hearts!
So now we bow, in humble adoration, and here proclaim, 'Our God, How Great Thou Art!

And now we sing, our Savior God to Thee; how great Thou art, how great Thou art!
So now we sing, our Savior God to Thee; how great Thou art, how great Thou art!
